My new series, ‘Old Souls’, is a memorial for our lost loved ones and celebrates the essence of them that we miss the most. I felt the work should counter balance the darkness I felt from the isolation during the Pandemic. The color pallet is, interestingly (and surprisingly), in stark contrast to my work of even a year ago. I work in Mixed Media with a focus on shifting the layers of each piece. After each layer is dry, I sand parts of it away, paint, collage or transfer another layer.
